Combining half rubber soles and metal toe taps is the most popular option to maximize the longevity of the leather-soled shoes. Metal toe taps offer better protection for the vulnerable toe area of the soles than leather or rubber, while half rubber soles provide better durability and grip. Since both metal taps and rubber soles can be easily replaced once worn down, this combination significantly delays the need for a full resole. Vibram rubber soles & LULU metal taps are used in this service. For optimal results, we highly recommend installing this when the shoes are brand new and unworn. The usual required time is 14 days but the actual turnaround time depends on the current store workload.
Toe tip reinforcement is required if the toe area already shows signs of wear. (+$150HKD)

Leather Healer provides a 3-month storage service for all leather shoes that have received our repair service. The storage service starts from the day the repair service is completed. If the shoes are not collected after 3 months, we may handle them ourselves without further notice. Leather Healer is not liable to any loss or damage related to long-term storage, such as mould or stains, etc.
